So the Panasonic FZ1000 is well known for it's amazing video capability and infamous for it's amazingly stupid design regarding it's battery/SDcard door and off-center tripod mount. I've ordered this tripod collar to use it on the lens barrel of the FZ1000. After some Dremel work, to cut out the parts to expose the buttons and make room for the protruding internal flash. It now fits perfectly on the barrel and now centers the lens/sensor on the tripod, while also freeing up the battery/SDcard door. I did have to add a thin trip of adhesive weather strip on the inner circle of the collar The product itself is very strong, meaning there is absolutely no structural integrity loss with notches I made. However it can happen you have to fix the thumbscrew, mine came with a loose clip, so the spring inside the thing didn't work properly. This was a very easy fix, just had to reseat the clip
